As nobody came up with a proper talk. I will jump in and talk about cross compiling.
Abstract:
Cross Compiling C++ projects is hard.
This talk tries to shed some light on when and why you may be forced to do it.
How it works with CMake using proper Toolchain files.
For demonstration we will take a look at Raspberry Pi and Bluepill boards.

*1. Talk * "Journey of a streaming infrastructure from on-premise (Openshift) to the public cloud (GCP) "
by Christophe Mugnier and Abhishek Pande from Generali
Generali Switzerland had built a streaming infrastructure based on Confluent Kafka in 2018 that was running in OpenShift on-premise. This container platform is called CoPa. The Confluent Kafka components included zookeepers, brokers, schema registry, rest proxy, and Kafka-connect running in 4 different stages (devl, test, acpt, prod). In the latter half of 2019, a decision was taken to move CoPa to the public cloud (GCP) and decommission the on-premise environment completely. This talk focuses on the journey of the streaming infrastructure as part of this move. It touches on the reasons for moving to the public cloud, the differences in the setup of the streaming infrastructure between on-premise and GCP, the procedure for doing the move and switch-over strategy, the regulatory and governance aspects that needed to be tackled, the challenges faced and the lessons learned.
Bio:
After some time in IT consulting, Christophe Mugnier started out as a Java programmer at Generali almost 15 years ago. For the last 4 years, he works as a DevOps engineer in the team that built and operates the container platform with data streaming as its heart, mainly focusing on Kafka-related topics. His interests outside of work are volleyball, mountain biking, and skiing.
Abhishek Pande has been working in the software industry since just before the turn of the Millenium. He started out as a Java programmer before juggling this with software architecture-related work. He is working as a cloud architect and a DevOps engineer with Generali and is part of the team that built the container platform with data streaming as its backbone that runs on GCP. His interests outside of work are football, karate, yoga, and hiking.
*2. Talk * "Data Streams & Apache Kafka at SBB"

Seit 2019 kümmert sich das IoT-ServiceTeam bei der SBB um die Unterstützung und Beratung von IoT Vorhaben, die Evaluation von IoT Devices, deren Bereitstellung, Konfiguration und Prozesse für Lifecycle, und eben Integration von Daten.
In diesem Talk stelle ich die Datenflüsse durch unser System vor und diskutiere wo und warum wir auf Streaming mit Kafka setzen.
Bio:
Stefan Zeller ist Full Stack Developer und kümmert sich um Frontends, Backends, Architektur aber auch Testing und Business Analyse und was sonst noch alles getan werden muss. Seit 2013 arbeitet er bei der SBB und seit eineinhalb Jahren im IoT-ServiceTeam.
